Openwork Rib socks

Pattern: Openwork Rib socks from SKS

Yarn: Lorna's Laces Shepherd sock in Georgetown

Needles: US Size 2 DPNs

Started on: Aug. 8th

Finished on: Sept. 12th

Comments: This is one of my older sock yarns that's been in my stash for a long time. The yarn can be a bit splitty, but I love the colors it comes in. I'm not sure why it took me so long to knit this pair up. The pattern was easy to memorize. The pattern and yarn matched better than I expected.

Garter Rib Socks

Pattern: Garter Rib from Sensational Knitted Socks

Yarn: Neeley's Knits Sparkle Sock Superman Inspired Yarn of Steel

Needles: US Size 2 DPNs

Started on: June 30th

Finished on: July 10th

Comments: This was my first time knitting the cuff, heels, and toes in a different yarn from the rest of the sock. The only bother is all the extra ends that need to be woven in. On the other hand it makes it much easier to match the stripes. This was my first time using Sparkly sock yarn. It adds a little ooomph to the socks. This is another pair for me. I know at some point I'll give a pair of socks I knit in Neeley's Knits yarn to my Mom, but so far I've been keeping them all for me. I love this yarn too much to give them away.

Yarn: Neeley's Knits Once Upon A Time inspired Fairy Tale

Needles: US Size 1 DPNs

Started on: Oct. 31st

Comments: I really enjoyed knitting these socks. I love my SKS book. Many of the stitch patterns in it are fun and really speak to me. These socks really seemed to fly off of my needles. The yarn and pattern seemed to be the perfect match.

Baby Cable Rib socks

Pattern: Baby Cable Rib from Sensational Knitted Socks

Yarn: Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock in Devon

Needles: US size 1 DPN

Started on: Oct. 10th
